What To Expect

Home / Sunday Home / Children / Early Childhood / What To Expect

Sunday Morning Toddlers and Preschoolers learn a new story of the Bible each week. We read the Bible story, sing, do crafts, learn sign language and play games that all relate to our story for the week.  Four-year-olds to Pre-K also have a large group worship experience.

Steps for parents:

  1. Bring two or three diapers, a change of clothes, and label anything else you bring with you.
  2. Check-in when you arrive.
  3. Drop off your child, and let their teacher know any needed information about caring for your child.
  4. Enjoy your worship time! You can check on your child at any time, but please be discreet.
  5. Check-out and pick up your child with needed receipt in hand.

What will your child learn?

  • Who is God? Who is Jesus?
  • God created everything; we need to be thankful and take care of the things God has given us.
  • God and Jesus love them; their parents love them.
  • God gave them the Bible to tell them about Himself and Jesus; it also tells the kind of person God wants them to be and to become.
  • Prayer is talking to God.
  • God wants them to obey Him and their parents.
  • God wants them to have a special place in their hearts for Jesus.

Snacks

Snacks are provided for the children once they graduate to the toddler area. The food items consist of water and animal crackers. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader. We are a peanut-free environment.

Contacting You

As you know, it is sometimes normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. Our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service is completed. If your child fusses for an extended period of time (over 10 minutes), we will display your security number on the LCD screens located in the worship areas for you to return to your child’s class.

Pick-up Procedures

At the end of the service, please scan your key tag or label you were given at check-in. This will print a “receipt.” You will need this receipt in order to pick-up your child. Children will not be released without a receipt. Your child’s leader will expect the same person to drop off and pick-up each child unless special instructions are given at check-in. If any malfunction or computer failure should occur, please be prepared to show picture ID. Please make sure your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises.
