GAP: Grandparents As Parents is a support ministry tailored specifically for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren full-time and so are re-entering a parenting phase of life. Faith-based topics will include lifestyle change, emotional healing, legal protection, restoration of marital/family relationships, re-parenting, and custody options. There are now two GAP groups to choose from, and new members may join at any time:
- GAP North Region is specifically for those living in the Rogers/Bentonville regions. Leaders are Carl and Cheryl Kimbro. This group meets on the Fellowship NWA campus in Rogers.
- GAP South Region is specifically for those living the Fayetteville/Springdale/Siloam Springs regions. Leaders are Wayne and Vicki Kennedy. This group meets on the Fellowship Fayetteville campus.
All meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, Sept 2016 through April 2017, from 7:00-8:30pm. Curriculum for this year is Raising Your Children’s Children: Help for Grandparents Raising Grandkids, by Martha Evans Sparks. Cost for the book is $12.
