The Cross-centered Life

Who would have guessed that the highest grossing film of 2004 (11th of all time) would be
about the last 12 hours of Jesus life? Worldwide box-office receipts for The Passion of the
Christ topped $611 million. Long before the Passion of the Christ was filmed... it was captured
on parchment. Mel filmed his version 2000 yrs after Jesus suffered. The Prophet Isaiah wrote
his version 700 years before Jesus was born. Isaiahs version is every bit as graphic as Mels.
And even more inspired.

Before The Fall : Genesis 3-6

Where do negative emotions come from? What are the tell-tale signs of an emotionally unhealthy spiritual life? In
Genesis 3, we find an integrated emotional life that is attacked, fragmented, damaged and distorted. Yet, within
these verses is the promise, the reality, that what has been fragmented can again be whole; that which has been
damaged can be restored. Yet, the restoration comes at a great cost.

Before The Fall : Genesis 1-2

Where do these amazing things called emotions come from? Emotions give our heart a voice. They match the delights and disasters of life. The source of emotions is a surprising place. This ability to feel comes from our being made in the image of God.

Made In The Image Of God - Part 2

Someone has said 2 things in life are inevitable: death & taxes. They lied. There is a 3rd thing
problems. M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Traveled said, Life is difficult. Problems are an
occupational hazard of being human. There are 3 approaches to dealing with problems: deny/
ignore them, be overwhelmed by them, or Peters approach put them into Divine perspective.
Several years ago, God took me to the 1st chapter of I Peter and taught me the secret to becoming
more than a conqueror.

in our lives, then why are so many Christians depressed, dejected, discouraged, struggling with
addictions and unhealthy marriage and family relationships? This message is the first in a two-part
series by Gary Oliver on how we are made in the image of Godemotionally.

What God Sees: Influence 24/7

Have you ever wondered why God has you here? What is His purpose in you being here? How is it that He wants to reveal Himself in and through your life experience here? These are questions that cause you to pause, think and pray. Tonight we look at an episode in the lives of Peter and the apostles where we get some clarity on why God had them in Jerusalem. As we take a look at their influence in the lives of people in Jerusalem, we will draw comparisons as to the influence we have in the lives of people here in Northwest Arkansas.

What God Sees: Advancing Kingdom

What does God see when He looks at NWA? What does He want to do about it? And if He
were to use His Church to meet that need, what would that mean for individual believers? We
get a glimpse at the answer to these questions when we look at the story of Israel possessing
the Promised Land. Stepping into that land... and seeing God's Kingdom advance... required
big steps of faith.

What God Sees: Liquid

It is essential to all forms of life. It covers 71% of earth. It makes up 75% of our muscle tissue, 83%
of our blood, 22 % of bone and 25% of our body fat. It is the objective of a woman with bucket in
hand approaching a well in a town called Sychar. It is the topic that ignites discussion between a
Holy God and a harlot. Once again, tonight we find ourselves in John 4 as we explore the idea of a
liquid life and it all begins with water.
