OPEN SHARE GROUPS

WHAT TO EXPECT?

These one hour meetings on Friday nights are an overflow from the worship time. Many things we hear in the worship service strike something in our heart and it is good to share those with other friends. These groups are gender and issue specific. If there is not a group for your specific issue, then feel free to go to our "A-Z" open share group.

New to Celebrate Recovery?
Start with Celebrate Recovery Orientation, which meets in the worship center immediately following the large group, so we can connect with you and help you get involved.

Note: Anyone can go into any group of the same gender and share whatever your issues are with others. This is an important part of the recovery journey, but make sure to follow the "5 Guidelines" during open sharing.

STEP-STUDY GROUPS

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Step-study groups are held during the week and meetings generally last 2 hours. Men and women, separated by gender, work through the four Participant's Guides, based on the 8 principles and their Biblical comparison from Matthew 5 and follow the "5 Guidelines" during meetings. Groups meet weekly for about 12 months under the gentle and loving guidance of a trained leader and/or co-leader to let Christ help them reveal and deal with issues in their lives that have become heavy baggage.

Whatever the hurt, hang-up, or habit might be, people honestly working through the material in these step study groups are able to form strong bonds and support teams, find accountability partners, sponsors and friends through sharing and caring. Most importantly, they are able to be freed from the shame, guilt and pain of their issues by learning to let go and let God take over – one day at a time!
