Mosaic Women's Study: Turning Your Heart Toward God
Date and Time: Thursdays, June 16 - July 21 | 6:30-8:00pm
Location: Rogers Community Office (RCO) on Fellowship's Campus
Facilitators: Dana Baran and Melissa Church
Childcare: Not provided
Book: Turning Your Heart to God by Kay Arthur. Please purchase before and bring with you to each class.
Style: Guided inductive study and discussion
What: We will examine Jesus' teaching from Sermon on the Mount, focusing on the Beatitudes. We will unpack the themes of weeping over sin, demonstrating meekness, showing mercy, and nurturing peace while practicing the inductive study method and discussing how we can better align our lives with God's heart.
Why: In the midst of life's busyness, distractions, and disruptions, it's easy for us to drift away from our calling as disciples of Jesus and try to set our own course instead. Setting aside time to immerse ourselves in Jesus' teaching in community with other believers will help us reorder our priorities, regain an eternal perspective, and allow the Holy Spirit space to gently change our hearts.
- Homework: No homework required.
- Classroom time: We will spend about an hour applying the inductive study method to Scripture together, discussing our findings, and applying the Word practically to our lives. We will end by praying specifically for one another.
What to Bring: Turning Your Heart Toward God by Kay Arthur and David and BJ Lawson, pen, pencil, highlighters, and post-it notes as desired.
