"The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." - Psalm 19:1 NASB.

God defines and expresses creativity by virtue of His nature. He has lovingly imparted the capacity for varying degrees of creativity to his most cherished creation, mankind. Fellowship is committed to fostering a healthy, Christ-focused environment where gifted people can grow in their creative expression of worship that proclaims the glory of God. This environment is not limited to corporate worship, and finds particular relevance in small group gatherings and where we live, work, and play. As image bearers of God, creative expressions of worship are a beautiful and powerful way to express stories of lives that have been transformed by the power of the Gospel.

MISSION: Spectra seeks to make art out of the overflow of God’s spirit within themselves to carry out His work, and will do so through defining art projects based on ministry goals. Artists can learn from one another both formally and informally with opportunities to serve through their gifts, meet together to plan projects, listen to speakers, train, and display their work.

The Visual Arts Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church is called Spectra. We are a community of NWA Christian Artists - photographers, painters, and graphic designers - all with the same goal to foster spiritual growth through artistic expression. We meet monthly to encourage one another, collaborate, or create. We install themed gallery exhibits with the hope of inspiring the viewer toward deeper reflection of God’s goodness.

If God has gifted you to create, then Spectra has a place for you.

Monthly Meetings: We typically meet on the 2nd Monday of each month in the BiLD Training Center Chapel. The Chapel is located inside the BiLD Training Center which is north of the main Worship Center on our campus.

MISSION: Fellowship Dramatic Arts provides opportunities for those with public speaking, acting or directing skills. Whether in film or on stage, our purpose is to help communicate or illustrate a life scene or story with the prayerful hope to bring about reflection, inspiration, or application.

This team is a dynamic, creative group that embraces “story.” Whether it is spoken word/scripture, a scene, or a narrative, it is all story shared with others in hopes of making an impact for the Kingdom. We encourage trust, teamwork, imaginations, and hearts hungry to point others to Christ.

Our team has varying degrees of skill from little to no experience onstage to professional stage/film background. Regardless of your current experience, an audition may be scheduled to determine specifics for participation/casting. Periodic workshops are provided to grow and sharpen skills, build confidence, and foster trust among the team. Rehearsals and at-home preparation is expected when someone commits to participate in a service or ministry need. Details will be coordinated between the director and artist(s) serving.

We ask individuals serving on the Dramatic Arts Team be involved in at least one “small group experience” (community group, men or women’s Bible study, step study, etc.). Individuals on the Dramatic Arts Team serve on an as-needed basis and the team as a whole does not meet regularly; therefore involvement doesn’t equate to a regular small group experience which is considered a Core Value at Fellowship Bible Church.

“Inspiration for me was the inner battle I believe we all face, Truth vs. Evil....Holy Spirit vs. Satan. I believe we all face that very real journey...the journey that is key for our life as we have to choose which side we will serve…The brighter colors on the right side signify the truth and freedom, the darker colors on the left side signify evil. The texture of the pallet knife creates the intense feeling and emotion felt through the journey. You see the woman in the painting turning towards The truth and she leaves the darkness behind her. Truth is Freedom and evil ends in ultimate pain and death.

"Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Romans 8:17

As Christians, we are royalty, we are co-heirs with Christ on His throne. However, because of our sinful natures, we often choose to live in the flesh as paupers. When we admit our sin and recognize His forgiveness, we are able to walk in the Spirit and our royal necklaces shine brightly.

“He took one of the seedlings of the land and put it in fertile soil...” Ezekiel 17:5

We begin our spiritual life like a little green seedling. Vulnerable, immature, hopeful. A healthy plant will continue to grow if it is watered and nurtured. It will also need to be up-rooted as it grows and placed in a container that will allow for deeper roots and stabilization as the plant grows tall. If the plant stays in the original container, it will eventually die.

In life we are all on a "journey" shaped by a lifetime of both positive and negative influences and our response to those influences. In this painting these influences are represented metaphorically by a graffiti covered wall. The graffiti represents an accumulation of messages applied over a period of years by a variety of individuals, some  attempting to influence the journey of others and some simply venting their own frustrations or quarreling with life in general. The journey itself is both physical and spiritual with eternal implications. Each of the ten figures in the painting represents individual responses ultimately leading them toward the Light or into darkness.
