Keep It Shut

NWA Women
Jan 9 - Apr 10
Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All  by Karen Ehman explores how to better control your tongue, knowing what to say and how to say it, and realizing when it is best to say nothing at all.
From Bible times to modern times women have struggled with their words. What to say and how to say it. What not to say. When it is best to remain silent. And what to do when you’ve said something you wish you could now take back. In this book a woman whose mouth has gotten her into loads of trouble shares the hows (and how-not-tos) of dealing with the tongue.

Beyond just a “how not to gossip” book, this book explores what the Bible says about the many ways we are to use our words and the times when we are to remain silent. Karen will cover using our speech to interact with friends, co-workers, family, and strangers as well as in the many places we use our words in private, in public, online, and in prayer. Even the words we say silently to ourselves. She will address unsolicited opinion-slinging, speaking the truth in love, not saying words just to people-please, and dealing with our verbal anger.
Christian women struggle with their mouths. Even though we know that Scripture has much to say about how we are—and are not—to use our words, this is still an immense issue, causing heartache and strain not only in family relationships, but also in friendships, work, and church settings.

Steadfast Love

NWA Women
Jan 17 - Apr 11
Are you new to NWA or to Fellowship?  If so, come meet other women, make friends and learn about God's steadfast love for you.

Psalm 107 is a call to worship.  It reminds us that each season of life is an opportunity to reveal the anchor of our souls.  This study will show us how to face both storms and deserts with courage and trust in Jesus and to discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts.  There is no fear for the one who fears the Lord, the one whose soul is anchored in His steadfast love.
In this study, you will"
  • Study Psalm 107 verse by verse.
  • Learn to face each season of life with courage and trust in Jesus.
  • Witness how God delights in setting you free, changing darkness into light, and bringing the dead to life.
  • Discover how tests in your journey of faith reveal the true condition of your heart.

Workbooks should be purchased at LifeWay or online prior to the first class.

The Friends of Jesus

NWA Women
Jan 11 - Mar 8

In this study, Karen Kingsbury explores six people in the life of Jesus- Simon the Leper, Martha, Jairus, Mary Magdalene, Peter, John. All six of these friends of Jesus bring a variety of experiences and examples that show the ups and downs of friendship, and remind us that true friendship is worth the time and commitment involved through those challenging and joyful times.

Most of all, this Bible study reminds readers that Jesus is the greatest friend they could ever have. He is your Savior and your Lord, now make Him your friend.

The Quest

NWA Women
Jan 18 - Mar 8
Curiosity is hardwired in humanity. We have this innate need to question and seek after what we don’t know or understand.

The Quest is a cross between a curriculum and a journal. A six week journey between a classroom and a prayer closet with three primary objectives:
  1. To promote deeper intimacy with God
  2. To help foster a sojourner mentality to aid as comfort that we are only passing through this world on our way somewhere else. This is not our home. To foster an adventure mentality as royal subjects of royal blood unrecognized my the world but headed to an unshakeable kingdom worth the trip. (Acts 14:22)

There is no quest without questions!

We will use questions from scripture to lead you to intimacy with the One who knows you best. The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation.
